Li Na looked out at the lake. It seemed so natural and beautiful, she just loved to look at it. Back near the city there was nothing beautiful really...not like this. Li Na walked over to the edge of the lake with her wooden staff in her hand. Whenever she "ran away" she always brought it with her for protection. Yes though, she had left her Uncle's home once again. She knew she would be found again though. Then she would have to go back. That was why she was enjoying her little freedom while she could.
Taking off her shoes, she set them back on the grass. Li Na then walked into a shallow part of the water. It felt nice as the cool liquid rushed across her bare feet.
Ready to fight at any time! // ...I see. Well, you will.

Shen Hui had decided to take a walk, although he hadn't decided to stop. He had been walking for three hours, a definite strain on his body, but he was determined. The maps he had glanced at before walking had told him that he should be encountering a lake right about now... ah, there it was. Just forty feet away. He tread over to and sat down near it, trying to give his aching legs a rest. He rubbed them, getting the blood to flow. Sighing, he finally turned his eyes toward the long strech of water before him. The sun reflected off it, like a mirror of the sky. His lips spread slightly in a small smile.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of movement, and turned his head to get a better look at whatever it was. It was a young woman, she had short, brown hair, and darker skin. But thats all he could catch sight of with his weak eyes. Instead of calling out to her, he stood up again and walked over to her, trying not to appear as weak as he was. "Excuse me, miss. My name is Shen Hui Ling." He extended his hand, smiling, "If you don't mind, its a pleaure to meet you."

Li Na had turned her head seeing a young man with light-colored hair and crystal blue eyes. She had not heard him approaching, but she did heard his voice. She noticed he seemed like a very polite man. That was her first impression of him at least.
She went ahead and smiled at him. "Hi, it's very nice to meet you as well. I'm Li Na Lng."She introduced herself to Shen Hui. She took his hand, shaking it gently before retreiving it back.

Hui nodded his approval of the lady, pulling his hand back to his side. She seemed quite the kind-hearted person... but, like with all people, he could sense angst in her. Although, hers seemed more threatening... near. "May I be so rude as to ask," he inquired, "but you seem disturbed by something imminent that may be about to happen. Am I correct?"

"Please, do not answer me if you think I am prying. I just wish to help." If he couldn't help one girl, how could he expect to stop the oncoming war? Yes, this was to test himself. To see if he could gather his small amount of strength and perform one, noble, worthwhile deed. He waited patiently for her answer.

Hui's words took Li Na by surprise and it showed in her beautiful blue eyes. The comment was a bit unexpected really. 'How did he?'She mentally spoke to herself. However, not that Li Na thought about it, Shen Hui did seem like the type of person who could pick up on things like that.
Li Na shook her head. "No, it's fine."She told him as she smiled. "I appreciate the concern, really."She said. She really did not wish to trouble him with her little problems, and yet she often wished for someone to talk to. "My uncle just doesn't really like me coming out here.."She said.

"That is a pity." He looked over the lake, past Li Na, "This place is... very nice." He didn't choose an intricate adjective, just simply the word 'nice'. It could mean very many things, and could have more than one meaning. "So, you feel the need to come out here anyway, in opposition to this uncle?" He asked her, "Is this place that important... or do you feel the need to escape him? Does that mean he's that horrible? Or are you just overreacting?" He questioned her, but in a tentative way, as if he was mumbling it to himself or wasn't sure why he was asking her.

Li Na nodded as she looked out toward the water. She agreed with Hui's comment. It was a nice place, a very nice place.
She barely managed to catch nearly all of his questions. She silently answered every one in her mind. The one that was most true was probably that she did feel a need to escape. Sometimes Li Na felt like a bird in a cage with her Uncle. Was she overreacting though? Li Na knew some people did that a times. Still, her Uncle was just...possessive.
"Well...he's just controlling."She said. Li Na probably would have convinced herself he was maybe protective, but her uncle could be a bit abusive at times. It was not that bad though...

"Hmm." he mused, with slight amusement. "So, perhaps it is that your life is difficult at times, but still quite pleasant?" a smile whispered on his features, as he saw the reflection of the sun, bright orange and golden, shimmering off the waters of the cool lake. It looked like the sun was a melting golden brick that was dripping into the crystalline waters... And that sight cleared his mind of his worries in a rejuvinating way. And he would have happily remained as such, if his head hadn't started to pound, like a hammer at a blacksmith, to the beat of his quickening heart. His pupils dilated, and his breaths came in short gasps, and he turned to run from the girl before she noticed anything had gone sour. "E-excuse me, but I mu-must leave..." he hustled away, but didn't get very far before he tripped and fell to his knees. His vision had gone completely white, he couldn't see a thing... and thats when it started. The images flickered through his mind, pulling it this way and that, like combing harshly through knotted hair. He couldn't see, he couldn't think, he'd couldn't feel, hear, or even breathe... The premonitions for the future held him in a constant death grip which seemed to last forever, its cold, strong fingers digging into his conscienceness... And after the eternity, his senses were slowing returning, composing him once again. He opened his eyes and slowly sat up, with a migrane from hell. He muttered to the gods, "Oh, Tenshinchigi, must there always be Yin and Yang?" He was refering to his talent. It was a blessing, being able to see the future, but a curse, having to go through all that pain every time. Not to mention, he rarely could figure out what it would mean. He groaned, gritting his teeth. He'd have to make camp here. It was clear that he wasn't going anywhere any time soon. His legs were jelly. "Yes," he answered himself, "because without Yang, there cannot be any Yin. Just as without Yin... Yang could not exist. Its a scale, life always balances out..."
He looked around, the land, the lake, the village in the distance. "Unsui-sama... you have made a beautiful lake with Ame-sama. I commend you. Please, protect the girl, Miss Li Na-san. She has an honest spirit. I hope that does not change over time... Doseki-sama, I humbly thank you for the gentle earth that is here. I will surely be safe, in this land that you've made..." He bowed his head, having completed his prayers to the Deities, "Domo arigato gozimasu, Unsui-sama, Doseki-sama..."
